Our version of the 19th
Indiana Company A is a
non-profit organization that is part of the Northwest Civil War Council
(NWCWC)
out of Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. We are from all walks
of life,
joined together with the goal to educate the public about life during
the
American Civil War (rather than glorifying war). Our members bring a
deep
knowledge of the Civil War and the activities of the 19th
Indiana / Iron Brigade.
During a
typical year, we meet as a club several
times at different reenactments. We participate in local reenactments,
but some
members participate at reenactments in Washington and elsewhere. We
also
schedule living history demonstrations and have been called to visit
local schools
to do demos.
