The Black Hats

Welcome to Company A of the 19th Indiana Volunteer Infantry in the Northwest.  We are a non-profit organization and a member of the Northwest Civil War Council, which primarily portrays the Eastern Theatre of the American Civil War in the summer of 1863.

 

We are amateur historians who come from all over Western Oregon and Southwestern Washington.  Together through living history, we attempt to remember, respect, and educate about the people of this era and their actions.  We take the opportunity to enjoy the company of like-minded enthusiasts, and don’t let the gravity of the issues keep us from having fun.
